About the Ski Reviewers:

Willie McElligott is an avid skier who grew up on the slopes of Fortune. He travelled West to ski for the Alberta Ski Team
and has followed his passion for the slopes into back country ski hiking and heli skiing. He tells it like it is because his passion is to ski so the skis had better perform!

Norma Lu Brown has skied since day one. She brought her passion into the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance 13 years ago and is now a Level III Instructor/ Level II Coach - Level I Ski Instructor Examiner. Norma loves to find out how various
skis perform and is always looking for the perfect ski for each of her clients.

Along with training the ski instructors at Camp Fortune and giving private one-on-one lessons, Norma supervisors two week-end ski programs;
All Mountain Ski - 2-hour group lessons for ages 7 - 14 beginner to intermediate skiers looking to improve and excel.
All Mountain Ski Performance - all day group lessons for ages 7 - 14 skiers who want more - race gates, Park features,
glades and moguls.

Nordica Ski demo 2010-2011 - A Sneak peek!

First Wednesday in March, Nordica had it's full line of skis out for testing by it's staff. Everything was set up and ready to go when I arrived and I got to try out 4 new pairs of skis, What a treat. The setting was Skyline at Camp Fortune. Conditions were perfect and the testing was done mainly on Upper Canadian, Middle Canadian, Bud Clark and the Shoot. The runs were groomed and fenced off in preparation for the GM cup race to be held later that week. Since there were only about a dozen people testing we had the hills to ourselves. Brilliant! Had to shoot all the pics with my iPhone, an amazing 2-megapixel camera.

First up was the all new Aggressive Frontside Technology:
Nordica Fire Arrow 80XBI CT

Next up in the High Performance category is the:
Nordica Speedmachine Mach4 Power XBI CT

Next another completely new ski for Nordica in the Race Performance category is the:
Nordica Doberman Spitfire EDT XBI CT

Last but not least, another new ski from Nordica in the All Mountain category is the:
Nordica Hot Rod Tempest XBI CT
